Where I got this recipe: This recipe is based on one I found on NYTimes Cooking.
What I like about this recipe: The pretzels are soft and they are a good combination with the mustard or queso.
My advice: You can experiment with the design of the pretzels – you can do a twist like I did or something new!
My recommendation: I recommend to everyone for a snack during a Buffalo Bills game!
Ingredients:

- 1 can of Pillsbury Classic Refrigerated Pizza Crust Dough
- All purpose flour (for the dough as needed)
- 1/4 cup baking soda
- 2 tablespoons molasses
- 1 egg white beaten with 1 tablespoon water
- coarse salt
- optional dips: mustard, queso
Recipe:
- Take dough out of the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature.
- Heat oven to 400 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large pot, combine 6 cups of water with the baking soda and molasses. Bring to a boil, stir, then reduce to medium heat.
- Cut the dough into equal pieces. For the twist, I cut the dough into 12 pieces and then twisted two pieces together for each pretzel.
- Drop twists into the pot two at a time and let cook for about 30 seconds. Scoop them out and dry off any extra liquid with a paper towel.
- Put all the pretzels on the baking sheet and brush the tops with the egg white mixture and sprinkle with salt.
- Bake for 12-17 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve with dips if you like – enjoy!
