Restaurant Review: Jyoti Indian Cuisine

image description: I am sitting at a table in the jyoti restaurant smiling at the camera.
Enjoying dinner at Jyoti in Washington, DC!

Restaurant Grade: ★ ★ ★

Type of cuisine: Indian

What I ate: For appetizers, chicken wing with Indian curry seasoning sauce and a spinach samosa with a spicy sauce. For dinner, chicken saag with paratha.

How I would describe the meal: spicy, too much heat, too powerful

Who I went with: My sister Lauren, my mom, my sister’s boyfriend Tyler, and our friends Madeline and Sam.

What I liked about this meal: I did like my chicken saag and paratha. They were much better than the appetizers.

What I would change about this meal: For the menu, I would give options of heat. For drink options, I would make separate alcohol and non-alcohol sections.

The restaurant atmosphere: Casual, kid friendly.

The service: Quick and good.

My recommendation: I would recommend this place to other people. You can ask the waiters if you have a problem understanding the menu or ask about the special before you are ready to order.
