Restaurant Review: Margaritas Mexican Cantina

My chile verde with Mexican rice on the side!

Restaurant Grade: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

Type of cuisine: Mexican

Who I went with: my mom

How I would describe the restaurant: spirited, colorful, clean, homey, and you will fall in love with the music! Also you can sit inside our outside.

What I ate: chips with salsa and queso to start and chile verde (pulled pork cooked with green tomatillo sauce with Mexican rice and tortillas)

What I liked about this meal: The pork is fully cooked and well seasoned. The salsa and the light chips are impressive!

What I would change about this meal: Onions were a missing ingredient in the chile verde. The queso was too much like milk because it had the texture of a soup – it needed to be thick and rich to make it smooth. Maybe it needed xantham gum to make it thicker.

What to wear: Just casual clothes.

What I would order next time: Next time I would try the pollo popeye (grilled chicken breast with spinach, cheese dip, and bacon) because it has chicken and vegetables with it, and also sour cream – I like that!

My recommendation: I recommend this restaurant to others! I want to take my sister Lauren and Ty here at Christmas. Check out the menu!
